Redirect​

Redirecting a URL to another URL allows you to direct traffic from an old web address to a new one. This process is used for various reasons, such as improving SEO, avoiding broken links, and enhancing the user experience. In Zonit, this process is implemented in a simple, step-by-step manner.

Steps for Redirecting:​

  1. Log in to the Zoneit panel.
  2. Navigate to the "Sites" section and select your site.
  3. Go to the "Settings" section.
  4. Select the "Redirect" option.
  5. Choose between 301 (Permanent) or 302 (Temporary) redirects:
    • 301: Indicates a permanent redirect to search engines, signaling that the URL has been permanently changed.
    • 302: Indicates a temporary redirect, suggesting the URL might return to the original address.
  6. Enter the old and new URLs.
  7. Click "Create."
  8. View your current redirects and delete unnecessary ones if needed.

Why Use Redirects?​

  • Improve SEO: Redirecting traffic to the new URL helps search engines recognize new pages, improving the site's ranking.

  3. Select the "Cache" option to manage and clear cached files.

SSL​

Activating SSL is essential for securing data transfer and preventing cyberattacks. SSL ensures that data between the user and the server is encrypted. The process for activating SSL in Oping is straightforward.

Steps to Activate SSL:​

  1. Log in to the services panel and select your site.
  2. Navigate to the "Settings" section, then go to "CDN."
  3. Select the "SSL" section to view and activate SSL settings.

Using HTTPS increases security, builds user trust, and improves the site's ranking on search engines. Additionally, Zonit's SSL recommender allows you to redirect all HTTP requests to HTTPS.

Blocking Suspicious IPs​

Blocking suspicious IP addresses enhances your site's security. This feature is easily accessible through the site settings in the CDN section of Zonit.

Steps to Block IPs:​

  1. Log in to the services panel and select your site.
  2. Navigate to the "Settings" section, then go to "CDN."
  3. Select the "IP Deny" option and add the suspicious IP.

Using this feature allows you to manage site traffic and block access from suspicious IPs.
